A Tradition of Gratitude: 5 Years of "Jai Jawan! Jai Kisan!"
For half a decade now, Viveka Bharathi Society has been dedicated to honoring the memory of Lal Bahadur Shastri ji by organizing the "Jai Jawan! Jai Kisan!" program on his birth anniversary (as per thidhi). This annual event holds a special place in our hearts, as it allows us to recognize and appreciate the dedication of those who defend our nation and those who nurture it.
Inspiring Figures of the Day: Jithender and Srikanth
This year, we had the privilege of hosting two exceptional individuals, each representing the spirit of our program. First, we had Jithender, a brave soldier who served in the Indian army for 17 years. His journey from a young recruit to an ex-serviceman offered a glimpse into the sacrifices and dedication that our soldiers exhibit every day.
On the other hand, Srikanth, a remarkable farmer, shared his inspiring story with us. Graduating as an engineer, he chose a different path by becoming an organic farmer. Srikanth not only grows healthy, organic produce but also runs a store dedicated to providing wholesome food to our community. His journey is a testament to the power of sustainable farming and the importance of healthy living.
A Day of Interaction with Students
Our program also aimed to educate and inspire the youth. Students from Vivekananda Vidya Kendra had the unique opportunity to interact with Jawan Jithender and Kisan Srikanth. These interactions allowed the students to gain valuable insights into the lives and experiences of these remarkable individuals. We hope that these encounters left a lasting impact on the young minds, encouraging them to pursue paths that contribute positively to society.
Parameshwar's Tribute to Lal Bahadur Shastri
The program began with an emotional narration by one of our organization's esteemed members, Parameshwar. He eloquently recounted the life and achievements of Lal Bahadur Shastri, India's former Prime Minister. Parameshwar emphasized the significant impact Shastri had on our nation's development during his tenure.
Furthermore, Parameshwar highlighted Shastri ji's high thinking and simple living style, which exemplified true Indianness continue to inspire us today.
Honoring the Heroes: Memento Presentation
As a token of our heartfelt appreciation, we concluded the program by presenting mementos to both Jithender and Srikanth. These mementos symbolize our deep gratitude for their outstanding contributions to our nation and community.
