On January 1st, 2025, we had the privilege of hosting Srini Gurapu Sir, one of the most cherished supporters of our Vivekabharathi Society, at our Vivekananda Vidya Kendra. This visit was a momentous occasion that filled us with gratitude and inspiration as we continue our mission of serving underprivileged children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

For the past 10 years, the Vivekananda Vidya Kendra has been a beacon of hope for children studying in local government schools, providing them with quality education and numerous opportunities for holistic development. Beyond academics, we empower these young minds through:

• Yoga training, fostering both physical and mental well-being.

• Martial arts lessons, including Karate and Karasamu (a traditional stick fight), to                          instill discipline and self-confidence.

• Sports activities such as Volleyball, Kabaddi, and Coco, promoting teamwork and                          physical fitness.

• Bhagavad Gita classes, enriching their spiritual and moral understanding.

Srini Gurapu Sir has been a consistent source of motivation and support throughout this journey. His contributions have significantly enhanced our ability to provide these transformative experiences to the children. Two years ago, he donated a Maruti Suzuki Eeco vehicle, which has become a vital part of our operations. This vehicle has enabled us to take the children on educational and cultural trips to spiritual centers, regional science centers, zoological parks, and other places, broadening their horizons and nurturing their curiosity.

During his visit on January 1st, Srini Sir not only interacted with the children but also delivered a powerful speech on India’s development through yoga. His words inspired everyone present, shedding light on the profound impact yoga can have on both individuals and society. To further engage with the children, he joined them in practicing yoga, creating an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.

This special day reaffirmed the bond between Srinivas Sir and the Vivekabharathi Society. His unwavering commitment to our cause and his ability to connect with the children on such a personal level continue to inspire us all.

We have conducted mathematics exhibition on December 22nd, 2024. The winners who presented their exhibits are awarded with goodies from the hands of Srini Gurrapu sir.

**Prize Badges Presentation Program at Vivekananda Vidya Kendra: A Day of Inspiration and Learning**

On 5th Sep 2024, Vivekananda Vidya Kendra held its monthly "Prize Badges Presentation" program, an event that celebrated not just academic and extracurricular achievements, but also fostered intellectual and emotional growth among the students. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as the children gathered to receive their well-deserved awards and interact with a distinguished guest.

The guest of honor for the event was *Shanthi Swaroop*, a renowned **Child Psychologist and Behaviour Trainer**. His insightful presence added great value to the program. During his session, Mr. Swaroop delivered an engaging talk on the **"Power of Concentration"** and the **role of willpower** in shaping our daily lives. His words resonated deeply with the students as he touched upon how willpower helps us overcome challenges and remain focused on our goals, especially in a world full of distractions.

In his lively interaction with the children, he discussed the importance of seeking answers to the various questions life throws at us. His approach was both entertaining and inspiring, as he captivated the young audience with real-life examples and thought-provoking anecdotes.

One of the key highlights of his talk was his announcement to return for a **three-day course on meditation**. He emphasized that learning meditation can empower students to harness their concentration and willpower even further. His promise to come back and guide them through the meditation course was met with great enthusiasm by the students and staff alike.

The event concluded with the distribution of badges to the students who excelled in various activities. Their proud faces reflected the commitment and hard work they had put in throughout the year, making the day even more memorable.

The "Prize Badges Presentation" program was not only a celebration of success but also an enriching experience for everyone involved. Mr. Shanthi Swaroop’s presence and his inspiring words left a lasting impression on the students, motivating them to explore their potential with renewed determination. The upcoming meditation course is sure to add another layer of growth and reflection for the students of Vivekananda Vidya Kendra.

Independence Day Celebration at Vivekananda Vidya Kendra

On August 15, 2024, Vivekananda Vidya Kendra celebrated Independence Day with a series of vibrant and meaningful cultural performances. The students passionately engaged in dances, songs, and skits that highlighted key moments from India’s freedom struggle, spanning from Shivaji Maharaj’s time to the resistance against the Nizam in Hyderabad. One of the most memorable performances was a skit depicting the life of Veer Savarkar, which was executed with exceptional dedication and brought the audience closer to understanding the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters.

Inspiring Speech by Hema Yellapragada: The event was graced by chief guest Hema Yellapragada, District Councillor, Warwickshire District, United Kingdom, who delivered an insightful speech on "The Broader Sense of Swatantrya." She emphasized that despite achieving political freedom, remnants of British influence persist in our laws, education system, and other areas. She encouraged the students to actively participate in society by writing articles and raising their voices against injustice. She also urged them to reflect daily on their contributions to the nation and their dharma, asking, "Have I done anything useful for my Desham and for my Dharmam today?"

Another esteemed guest, Santhosh Manduva, founder, Sulakshya Seva Samithi reminded the students of their privilege to access diverse learning opportunities at Vivekananda Vidya Kendra, where they can cultivate skills in dance, sports, yoga, patriotism, devotion, and academics all in one place.

Dr. Dasyam Abhinav Bhaskar, the corporator of the 60th Division - Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation, graced the "Monthly - Prize Badges Presentation and Interview of Inspirational Personality" program at Vivekananda Vidya Kendra.

Dr. Bhaskar, known for his numerous service activities under the banner of Sarvodaya Mitra Mandali, shared his journey with the children, covering his educational background, business endeavors, and political career.

In the bustling city of Warangal, education took a new turn for the pre-primary students of Vivekananda Vidya Kendra as they embarked on an enriching journey to Kakatiya Zoological Park. Guided by dedicated tutors, VVK and Sunil, the children were in for a day filled with excitement, learning, and unforgettable memories.

Discovering the Wonders of Nature

Amidst the lush greenery and diverse fauna of the zoo, the young learners delved into the fascinating world of plants and animals. From majestic leopards to graceful peacocks, every creature became a subject of curiosity and wonder for the eager minds.

A Feast for the Senses

As the students roamed the vast expanse of the park, they not only observed but also experienced nature in its truest form. They learned about the habitats, behaviors, and characteristics of various species, immersing themselves in a hands-on educational experience.

Nourishing Body and Mind

To fuel their adventure-filled day, the students brought along their packed lunches, while the tutors added a touch of delight with refreshing snacks like Kulfi and mango juice. The combination of exploration and indulgence created a perfect balance, leaving the children energized and grateful for the thoughtful gestures.

The students expressed their heartfelt gratitude to VVK, Sunil, and the entire team for organizing such a memorable outing. Discovering Divine Serenity at ISKCON Temple

On the tranquil morning of April 7th, 2024, Abhishek, accompanied by the students of Vivekananda Vidya Kendra, embarked on a transformative spiritual expedition through the ancient city of Warangal. Their first destination was the revered ISKCON temple, a sanctuary of peace and spiritual solace.

 As they stepped into its hallowed halls, they were greeted by an atmosphere brimming with tranquility and devotion. Led by a knowledgeable volunteer, they immersed themselves in the divine ambiance, learning about the significance of the Hare Krishna mantra and the profound teachings of ISKCON.

Seeking Blessings at Saraswati Temple

Following their enriching experience at the ISKCON temple, the students proceeded to the sacred Saraswati temple, where the benevolent presence of Goddess Saraswati awaited them.

     

 With hearts filled with reverence, they sought the blessings of the goddess of knowledge and wisdom. Engaging in the ritual of archana, they performed japam using a japa mala, reciting the sacred mantra "Om Sarasvathye Namah" with each bead. 

   

The serene surroundings echoed with the melodious chants of the students, creating a spiritual symphony that resonated with divine grace. After offering their prayers, they partook in the blessed prasad, nourishing their souls with the divine blessings of Goddess Saraswati.

 Embracing Divine Power at Bhadrakali Temple

Their spiritual journey reached its culmination at the ancient Bhadrakali temple, where the fierce yet compassionate presence of Goddess Bhadrakali awaited them. With reverence and awe, they approached the sanctum sanctorum, seeking the divine blessings of the mighty goddess.

  

 As they beheld the resplendent form of Bhadrakali, they felt a sense of awe and reverence permeate their beings. After receiving the darshan of the divine mother, they partook in the sacred prasad, symbolizing the communion of their souls with the divine. The spiritual resonance of their visit lingered in their hearts, leaving an indelible imprint of divine grace and blessings.

                  On March 31st, 2024, the students of VVK were treated to an exhilarating adventure at the Regional Science Centre in Warangal. Bursting with a multitude of science experiments and detailed explanations, this educational hub provided a remarkable opportunity for the students to immerse themselves in the world of science.
